CALLED BY NAME

Today’s 1st reading tells us that we have been called by name. God knows each one of us by name. This is why in the midst of our highs and lows, ups and downs in life, and the rising and setting of our hopes we should never fear for the Lord relates with us personally and knows exactly what we are going through. There is really no other like our God. Amen. Hallelujah!

Isaiah 45: 1, 4-6
...I have called you by your name,...It is I who arm you,...toward the rising and the setting of the sun men may know that there is none besides me. I am the LORD, there is no other.

This world of ours is amazingly designed by God. The DNA a double helical structure, which is found in every living creature, which includes us, humans, is also existent in the solar system. Scientists found out that the pattern in which the planets rotate around the sun is also in a double helical conformation. Wow, isn't it amazing. It is undeniable evidence by the signature of God scattered all over the planet and extends to the entire universe that not even the most intelligent and brilliant astrologers could explain. We are indeed blessed and endowed with a wealth of endless benefits and cures just lying around us and within our reach. It confirms too the message in today's psalm that we give glory and honor to Almighty God. Amen. Hallelujah!

Psalm 96: 1, 2, 4-5, 7-8, 9-10
R: (7b) Give the Lord glory and honor.

4 For great is the LORD and highly to be praised; awesome is he, beyond all gods. 5 For all the gods of the nations are things of nought, but the LORD made the heavens.

Today’s 2nd reading should make us realize that there is a need to listen to what God is telling us in our every day life. We need to take proper action in response to God’s call. It should cultivate in us a new found and renewed conviction in fulfilling God's word in our lives. Amen. Hallelujah!

Thessalonians 1: 1-5b
... 5 For our gospel did not come to you in word alone, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with much conviction.

We just can’t go on with life not putting things in proper order. We have to know our responsibilities and fulfill it well. We can not be just guessing and leaving things up to chance. There are things that God made very clear for us to follow and that we should be able to do without further rationalizations, excuses and justifications. No matter how hard things may be we just have to entrust and offer to God everything that we do. Amen. Hallelujah!

Matthew 22:15-21
...“Then repay to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and to God what belongs to God.”
