ARE YOU SATISFIED?

Why can't we get it through our thick heads? God has always been inviting us to come to Him but we don't seem to respond wholeheartedly. Why? As always things are easier said than done, because we still belong to this world and somehow what we see around us still has an impact on our daily struggles. So what do we do? It's not that simple but we can start by always reminding ourselves of this truth by surrounding our world with reminders, memos and flashcards of God's goodness to us. One simple tip that I do is to always have a small prayer book and a rosary in my bag. Write down a favorite bible passage and always keep it handy during times of doubt. Amen. Hallelujah!

Isaiah 55:1-3
...Heed me, and you shall eat well, you shall delight in rich fare. 3 Come to me heedfully, listen, that you may have life. I will renew with you the everlasting covenant, the benefits assured to David.

Let us always call on Jesus because there is no other name we can call on to aside from Him. Amen. Hallelujah!

Psalm 145:8-9, 15-16, 17-18R: The hand of the Lord feeds us; he answers all our needs.
...17 The LORD is just in all his ways and holy in all his works. 18 The LORD is near to all who call upon him, to all who call upon him in truth.

The tagalog version of this bible passage is my mother's favorite song. Whenever I hear this song I am always reminded of how my mother was able to go through life persevering in her faith in God. Amen. Hallelujah!

Romans 8:35, 37-3935 Brothers and sisters: What will separate us from the love of Christ? Will anguish, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or the sword? 37 No, in all these things we conquer overwhelmingly through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor present things, nor future things, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

There should be no doubt that God can provide for all our needs. The gospel for today is about the miracle of the multiplication of the bread and feeding of the five thousand. It emphasizes the truth that God will never allow us to grow hungry and will always provide for our needs. There is no need to go anywhere else for nourishment. There is no need to go away and search elsewhere. We only have to go to God for only Him can satisfy all our longings and desires. Amen. Hallelujah!

Matthew 14:13-21
...Taking the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, he said the blessing, broke the loaves, and gave them to the disciples, who in turn gave them to the crowds. 20 They all ate and were satisfied,...
