TOP OF THE LINE

We have to be constantly aware of the Holy Spirit dwelling in us. It is like we need to nurture and cherish this truth so that our inclinations and tendencies will be greatly influenced by it. When we get into something without really knowing where we are headed then we become susceptible to dread and fear. Today's 1st reading tells us the importance of having the gift of discernment. Let us pray to God and constantly desire that the Holy Spirit will endow us with this gift. For it is written in Mt. 7:7-11, "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. Which one of you would hand his son a stone when he asks for a loaf of bread, or a snake when he asks for a fish? If you then, who are wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good things to those who ask him." Amen. Hallelujah!

Ephesians 1:15-23
...that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation resulting in knowledge of him. 18 May the eyes of your hearts be enlightened, that you may know what is the hope that belongs to his call, what are the riches of glory in his inheritance among the holy ones, 19 and what is the surpassing greatness of his power for us who believe, in accord with the exercise of his great might,...

The tricky question which I guess no one can give a straight answer is, "Which comes first, the chicken or the egg?" Furthermore, if we are to look at creation and all the things that surround us, as in the heavens, the moon and the stars then we will just be filled with awe and wonder at the greatness of God's work. It is a masterpiece of the Greatest Artist. What's most overwhelming is the fact that we have been given the honor of being the highlight of His work and the top of the line. Amen. Hallelujah!

Psalm 8:2-3ab, 4-5, 6-7
R: You have given your Son rule over the works of your hands.
...When I behold your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars which you set in place — 4 [5] what is man that you should be mindful of him, or the son of man that you should care for him? (R) 5 [6] You have made him little less than the angels, and crowned him with glory and honor. 6 [7] You have given him rule over the works of your hands, putting all things under his feet.

We are God's most precious ones and our worth never diminishes nor do we lose our value. No matter what this imperfect world that we are in at the moment throw in front of us, we shall not be moved. We are worth more than anything in this world. There is no reason to fear or be afraid for we are the sons and daughters of the Most High God and the Holy Spirit is with us. Amen. Hallelujah!

Luke 12:8-12
...When they take you before synagogues and before rulers and authorities, do not worry about how or what your defense will be or about what you are to say. 12 For the Holy Spirit will teach you at that moment what you should say.”
